Concept Map Summary
The baseball field represents the world and the different groups of people that make up the world. As you got first base we have obstacles that people face daily in our world. Race people fight issues of race everyday. They have different obstacles on a daily basis just because the color of their skin. Religion is another issue that people deal with every day. With many different cultures that live in the United States there are many different beliefs. Once again people not agreeing with issues of race makes people frighten and left feeling uneasy. The last issues as we try and get to the first base in a day is Gender. Many people have felt discriminated against because of gender alone. They have fought for equality between genders for a very good reason. Just making our way to first base can be difficult for many people in our world today.
After reaching first base and the issues that were encountered on the way there we move to second base. Personality is something that everyone has, being allowed to express our personality is not something everyone can do at their own freedom. With our vast and expanding groups our ethnicity in our country is growing everyday. With that it brings new beliefs and ideas to our country. People that are open minded make the transition for people easier. Where you sit on the social class ladder can play many roles in your life. The social class in which you are apart of influences you everyday. Getting yourself to second base may be a very difficult task.
If you are blessed enough to reach second you trip from second to home, you may encounter may of the same issues. Issues such as attitude and motivation that play an important role in your daily life are struggles you will find on the way to home. Along that same life of attitude and motivation you could find your self involved in peer pressure. A person that can avoid those issues is someone that is motivated in a very positive way. Exceptionalities are not things you individually have control over, but are things you can handle. For other people not have the exceptionality, they can learn to help the people around them with exceptionalities. When you have reached home, there you will find the things as a pluralistic society we are trying to reach: Religious Freedom, Cultural Awareness, Understanding, Equality.
