Introduction 

My name is Eric Knight. I am the fourth grade elementary teacher for the Chester Area School District in Chester, South Dakota.  The following is my bio:

I attended Dakota State University receiving a BS in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from South Dakota State University. While in high school through the present I have had the opportunity to be mentored by Dr. Rick Melmer former Secretary of Education for the State of South Dakota and current Dean of Education at the University of South Dakota. While working on and completing his internship, I had the privilege to work with my principal, Mrs. Faith Stratton the 2011 Elementary Principal of the Year in South Dakota. I am entering my eighth year as a fourth grade teacher with the Chester Area School District.  I am currently completing his Master’s Degree in Education Administration at South Dakota State University. 

 

Along with teaching fourth grade, I am the head boys basketball coach and an assistant coach for the football team at the Chester School District. My wife Terri and I have three children Luke (5), Bo (3), and Ellie (1).
